AZIZ BAZAAR
A very unusual online banner campaign and microsite featuring the Moroccan rising "star" Aziz and his well assorted bazaar in Marrakech.
The purpose of the campaign was to sell off the last remaining Land Rover Freelander vehicles at a very competitive price before the new model were launched in January 2007. We therefore allowed people to interact and haggle with Aziz in his bazaar and try to get a better deal than the one offered by Land Rover. Both the banners and the microsite allowed users to suggest prices for various items in Aziz’ Bazaar and depending on the amount get a an angry or happy reaction seamlessly delivered. All reactions were real video delivered through a rich media banner – first time this was successfully done in the UK.
The campaign ran on lifestyle and motoring websites across the UK in the autumn of 2006 and helped sell off the old Freelanders in record time.
I was responsible for the project from start to finish.
